SPRING GROVE - Rose Marie (Senft) Yohe, 84, of Spring Grove, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at Manor Care Health Services North. She was the wife of Earl C. Yohe, to whom she was married for 53 years.
The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church. The Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Yohe was born May 12, 1914, in Spring Grove. She was the daughter of the late W. Clarence and Claudia (Stambaugh) Senft, and stepdaughter of the late Mae (Staub) Senft.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she served as organist and choir director for 14 years and was guest organist at several churches in York County. She was a graduate of Spring Grove Area Senior High School and attended the Conservatory of Music at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove.
Mrs. Yohe also is survived by a son, E. Michael Yohe of York; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Daniel V. Biles III.

SPRING GROVE Earl C. Yohe, 85, died at 5:10 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Manor Care South in York. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Senft) Yohe who died March 2, 1999, and Marie Antoinette (Marchio) Yohe who died August 3, 1940. The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, at Irwin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 175 North Main St., Spring Grove with his interim pastor, the Rev. Lester D. Helmeczi officiating. Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery with full military rites performed by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Yohe was born August 6, 1918 in Spring Grove, a son of the late Cletus S. and Leah N. (Strausbaugh) Yohe. He retired in 1979 as Safety Supervisor at the P.H. Glatfelter Company after 33 years of service and was a member of the mill's Quarter Century Club. During his time of employment, he served on various local, state, and national safety organizations, including 20 years as Industrial Safety Consultant for the National Safety Council in Chicago. Mr. Yohe was a lifetime resident of Spring Grove and a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. He was a former member and past president of the Spring Grove Lion's Club, a Charter and Life Member of the Pvt. Alan J. Beck, Jr. Spring Grove Post #5265 VFW, and member of Spring Grove Friendship Hose Company. Mr. Yohe was a decorated United States Army veteran of WWII serving with the 2nd Armored Division, "Hell on Wheels," with 3 years service in Africa, Sicily, and the European Theatre of Operations. His service record included the Arrow Head Award for beachhead operations in the Sicilian Campaign and 6 Battle Stars in the European Theatre of Operations. He was also the recipient of the Belgian Fourragere Unit Citation from the Belgium Government. He is survived by a son, E. Michael Yohe of York; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred E. Yohe of Spring Grove; and a sister, Eva M. Grogg of York. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, 12 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362. Pallbearers will be Kane Stambaugh, William Sterner, Kenneth "King" White, Frank DeCello, Clete Warner, and Quentin Stambaugh.
