Donald E. Alexander, 80, Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, LaFontaine, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at the nursing home.

He was born on June 18, 1925, in Wabash County, to Ovid and Ruth (Bonawitz) Alexander.

He retired as a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad out of Chicago, after 23 years service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Grand Lodge of Illinois.

Surviving are a son; a daughter; a nephew, Maurice Grindle, New Haven; a niece, Marlene Meyer, Wabash; and one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Burnworth, Wabash. Two sisters are deceased.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset. Maurice Grindle will officiate.

Preferred memorials are to Rolling Meadows Health Care Center Activity Fund, 604 Rennaker St., LaFontaine, Ind. 46940.
