YORK — Victor S. Altland, 80, of Manchester Township, died Thursday morning at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Victoria A. (Stambaugh) Altland.
A graveside service will be private in York Road Cemetery in Hanover. Viewing will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Robert F. Koller Funeral Home Inc., 2000 W. Market St., York.
Mr. Altland was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Washington Township, York County. He was the son of the late George and Josie (Wolgamuth) Altland.
He was a construction worker for Stewart and March for many years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that, he was a concrete truck driver for Eli Zinn. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and Williams Grove Steam Engine Association, and a 50-year member of AAA.
Mr. Altland also is survived by two stepsons, Wayne Grove of Spring Grove and Phillip Grove of York; a stepdaughter, Sherry Grove of York; five brothers, Sylvester Sphar of Bedford, Stewart Altland of Abbottstown, and Ray Altland, Colt Altland and Junior Altland, all of Dover; and four sisters, Gladys Altland of York, and Esther Jones, Bertha Ruppert and Miriam Altland, all of Dover.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Greg Wahlbert, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.

Victoria A. Altland, 89, died Monday, September 29, 2008, at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late Victor S. Altland.
Victoria was born April 7, 1919, in Hanover. She was the daughter of the late William and Nannie Stambaugh.
Victoria leaves a daughter, Sherry Lee Grove. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne E. Grove and Phillip E. Grove.
Viewing will be 11 to 12 noon on Friday at Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St., York. There will be a procession to the York Road Cemetery in Hanover, with a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Vietti of Calvary Baptist Church.
