William Stambaugh

William E. Stambaugh, 85, Weiglestown, Dover R. 5, formerly of Hanover, died Monday at 10:15 a.m. at his home, following an illness of one year.

He was a son of the late James and Mary Moul Stambaugh and was a member of the Dover Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nannie Stauffer Stambaugh; a son, Elwood S. Stambaugh, Hanover; a daughter, Mrs. Victor S. Altland, York R. 1; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Miller, East Berlin R. 1. The Rev. C. Jack Orr, pastor of Harmony Grove Community Church, will conduct the fuenral service Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sauter Funeral Home, Spring Grove. Burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover R. 3. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.

Mrs. Nannie Stambaugh

Mrs. Nannie V. Stambaugh, 91, Spring Grove RD 1, and a former resident of Dover Township, died at 3:15 a.m. today at Colonial Manor Nursing Home where she was a patient for nine days. She had been ill for one month.

She was the widow of William E. Stambaugh, and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie Dubbs Stauffer.

Mrs. Stambaugh is survived by a son, Elwood S. Stambaugh, 106 York St., Hanover; a daughter, Mrs. Victoria A. Altland, York RD 1; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. The Rev. William R. Yocum, pastor of St. Peter's (Lischey's) United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover RD 3.
