Sioux City Journal, June 11, 18963331
The marriage of Charles F. Baldwin and Miss Bertie Frank occurred at 8 o'clock last night at the home of A. H. Frank, the bride's father, 707 Pierce street. In honor of the event the rooms had been artistically decorated with choice flowers and plants, and brilliant lights spread their rays on the scene. It was a family affair, as only the immediate relatives of the young people were present, but it made quite a large party. Promptly at the appointed hour Rev. Mary A. Safford entered and took a position in one corner of the room, which had been made beautiful by a bank of palms, and flowers. As soon as the groom's sister, Mrs. A. M. Coffman, began playing Mendelssohn's immortal wedding march, Mr. Baldwin and Miss Frank appeared, the latter attended by her father, and took a ppsition in front of the pastor. Then all was silence and the few solemn words were spoken that made the young people man and wife. Those present then pressed forward to extend their congratulations, and afterwards all sat down to an elegant wedding supper. Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin went at once to their cottage, corner of Eleventh and Court streets, where they will reside.
They received many handsome and useful presents from their host of friends and relatives.
