Marriage Announcements and News

Sioux City Journal, June 28, 19086355

Another exceedingly attractive wedding celebrated Wednesday evening was the marriage of Miss Matie Frank and Mr. A. I. Levy, which took place at 7 o'clock in the residence of Mr. Ben Davidson, and which also was witnessed only by the members of the immediate families.

The colors of this wedding were the unusual ones of light blue and green, and these were used with especially pleasing effect in all the decorations. Graceful curtains of ferns were tied with large satin bows of the delicate blue and festoons of green added to the festive floral effect. Bouquets of pink roses were the only variation in the color.

Rabbi Joseph Rauch read the wedding service. As Mrs. Abe Davidson began the wedding march he and the groom and his best man, Mr. Sidney Levy, took their places in the bower of green erected in the library. The ring bearer, the bride's nephew, Master Herman Davidson, entered first, carrying the important circle of gold in an American beauty rose. He wore a costume of white. He was followed by the bridesmaid, Miss Tessie Davidson, who wore a graceful gown of blue crepe de chine and carried a large bouquet of pink roses.

The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. Leonard Frank. She wore an imported gown of embroidered mull. In her hair was a wreath of orange blossoms. He bouquet was a shower of swainsona.

In the evening during the hours from 8 to 10 a large reception was given. Mr. and Mrs. Levy and many friends called with their congratulations. The receiving party included, in addition to the bridal party, Mr. Ben Davidson, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Davidson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank; the groom's mother, Mrs. Levy; Mr. and Mrs. L. Hattenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Mose Levy and Miss Betta Levy.

Mrs. I. G. Trauerman and Mrs. J. M. Cohen acted as parlor hostesses.

Mr. and Mrs. Levy, who left that evening for a wedding trip which is to include a tour of the great lakes, will be at home upon their return at 1206 Pierce street.
