Frank S. Barrick, 56 years old, former secretary of the Hagerstown Spoke and Bending Co., and well known throughout Western Maryland, died at the Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, at 11:45 o'clock Tuesday morning after a lingering illness.
Mr. Barrick, a native of Frederick county, made Hagerstown his home for some time. Some years ago he moved to York, Pa., and more recently lived in Columbus, Ohio. He returned to Baltimore a week ago for treatment at the hospital where he died. He was a devout Christian and was well known for his activities in the Methodist church. His entire life was devoted to Christian work.
Mr. Barrick is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eda Munn Barrick; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Barrick; two brothers, William R. Barrick, Johnstown, Pa., and Noah E. Barrick, Edna, Kansas, and three sisters, Miss Cora H. Barrick, Columbus, O.; Mrs. Charles Niles, Detroit, and Mrs. Joseph Koons, Walkersville.
The remains were taken to Hagerstown for burial. Funeral services at 3 o'clock Thrusday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Barrick's sister, Mrs. Roy A. Leiter. Rev. Vernon N. Ridgeley, pastor of St. Paul's M. E. church officiated at the services.

Mrs. Edna A. Barrick, widow of Frank S. Barrick, died after a short illness in Providence Hospital, Washington, D. C., Monday afternoon.
She was a member of Ryland Methodist Church, Washington; and Conococheague Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving is a daughter, Dorothy, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Roy A. Leiter, Hagerstown.
The body will be taken from the Coffman Funeral Home to St. Paul's Methodist Church where services will be conducted Thursday at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. J. Turnbull Spicknall, assisted by Rev. William Durrett. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests the omission of flowers.
