The marriage of Miss Flossie Alice Huffman, daughter of O. P. Huffman, and Everett Beaty, son of John Beaty, took place Sunday morning at 8 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents in Warren. The ceremony was performed by the bride's grandfather, the Rev. Lewis Huffman.
Mr. and Mrs. Beaty will reside in Huntington. Mr. Beaty is proprietor of the American grocery in this city.

Miss Flossie Huffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Huffman of Salamonie township, and Everett A. Beaty of Huntington, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beaty of Salamonie township, were quietly married at the home of the bride's grandparents, Rev. Lewis Huffman, near Mt. Zion, in Salamonie township, at 8 o'clock Sunday morning, April 23. The Rev. Huffman performed the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington, Ind., and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa sorority. She has taught in Huntington county for the last three years. Mr. Beaty is now a partner in the American Grocery on South Jefferson street. Prior to his grocery business he was assistant cashier in the Huntington Trust and Savings bank.
Mr. and Mrs. Beaty will reside in a newly furnished home at 527 Etna avenue.

Funeral services for Everett R. Beaty were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Robbins Funeral Home with Rev. Orrin Manifold officiating. Mrs. Ruth Casper was at the organ.
Honorary pallbearers were Dee Wygant, Henry Leffler, Clyde Hall, Mike Cecil, Dr. J. B. Eviston, Claude Mounsey, Frank Warner, Myron Wilhelm, Mark Miller, Ed Siebern and John Dolby.
Active pallbearers were Clarence Campbell, George Close, Jim Coleman, Verl McHenry, Fred Cosart, Henry Stahlsmith, Jim Jones and Floyd Swathwood.
Burial was in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Flossie A. Beaty, 73, Rt. 7, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday at the Huntington County Hospital, where she had been a patient after being taken ill on Jan. 2.
Mrs. Beaty was born Oct. 4, 1897, in Salamonie township, to David and Della Beverington Huffman. Her marriage was to Everett R. Beaty on April 23, 1922 in Wells County. He died on Feb. 5, 1969.
She was a graduate of Warren High School, attended Huntington College, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University. She taught school for a short time, and operated a grocery store with her husband until they moved to Rt. 7 in 1931. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Della Huffman, Rt. 7; two sons, Robert L., Rt. 7 and Richard E. of Huntington; four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother are deceased.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Robbins Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10:30. a.m. Thursday, with Rev. W.W. Kennell officiating.
Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
