Robert Y. Black, 86, of Warsaw, a retired machinist and gang foreman, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Kosciusko Community Hospital. The New Paris, Ohio, native was retired from Penn Central Railroad after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge 106, both in New Paris, Ohio, and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy A.; stepdaughters Betty A. Eckert of Sebastian, Fla., Barbara Brown of Hobart and Mary Jane Grubbs of Warsaw; 13 stepgrandchildren; 36 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two stepsons. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio. Memorials are to Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice.

Robert Y. Black, 86, of 1929 Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw, died at 11:10 p.m. April 9, 2002, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw,

He was born April 11, 1915, in New Paris, Ohio, to Amos T. and Mae Young Black. On April 11, 1961, he married Dorothy A. Sisk, who survives.

A Kosciusko County resident since 1972, he retired from Pennsylvania Central Railroad after 31 years as a machinist and gang foreman. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of New Paris Presbyterian Church and Masonic Fellowship Lodge 106, New Paris, receiving his 60-year pin. He was a 1937 graduate of Jefferson High School, New Paris.

Other survivors include three stepdaughters: Mrs. Bud (Betty Ann) Eckert, Sebastian Fla.; Mes. Bob (Barbara) Brown, 40 and Mrs. Don (Mary Jane) Grubbs, Warsaw; 13 stepgrandchildren: 36 step-great-grandchildren: and 25 step-great-greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by two stepsons, four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Lester Young officiating. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
