A host of friends in Montrose will be delighted with news from the Blair boys, Lieut. Tom Blair and Lieut. Glenn Blair, sons of B. P. Blair, word having come from the boys in a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Blair to the former's sister, Mrs. J. H. Carkhuff, this week.
Both of the boys are overseas and have been for several months, where they have been of splendid services to the allies in the great strife. Lieut. Glenn Blair and four other officers and 250 men guarded President Wilson and his delegates in France and will return with them to America. Lieut. Glenn Blair was in the battle of the Marne and in this big battle his horse was shot from under him and the young man received to big dents from shells in his helmet.
His brother, Lieut. Tom Blair and his company are guarding the light and water plants at St. Mihiel, and Lieut. Blair took part in this great battle. He expects that his return to the states will be delayed yet sis months longer as his duties there will detain him for that length of time.
Both boys are enjoying splendid health and getting along fine. Their return to America will be hailed with delight by a host of relatives and friends.
Their friends here will be interested to know that Mr. and Mrs. Blair will leave Long Beach, Calif., where they have spent the winter, for their farm in Utah soon.
