COLE-BLAIR

One of the most interesting and important weddings of the spring took place Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, when Miss Helen J. Blair, the charming daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Bryson P. Blair, prominent residents of the city, became the bride of Mr. William J. Cole of Douglas, Ariz., the Rev. R. R. Shoemaker of the Congregational church, being the officiating clergyman. Only the immediate family of the bride and Mr. and Mrs. Shoemaker were present. The beautiful, girlish bride was never more lovely then on her wedding day, and she was becomingly gowned in a gray traveling suit and carried pink roses. Mr. and Mrs. Blair attended the happy couple and the pretty ring service was used.

An elaborate, four-course wedding breakfast was served at the conclusion of the ceremony, and at noon Mr. and Mrs. Cole left for Douglas, where the groom has an excellent position. En route they will visit with relatives of Mr. Cole in Raton, and also in Pueblo and Albuquerque.

An unusually large circle of friends join in expressions of the best of good wishes for the future happiness of these young people, the only regret being that her marriage takes Mrs. Cole away from her home town where she is a universal favorite. A girl of beauty and rare charm of manner, many accomplishments and a winning personality and friendly smile, she has endeared herself to everyone who knows her and she will be greatly missed here. She is a talented musician and occupied a prominent place in musical and social circles in this city.

While a stranger to most of our people, in the short time he was here Mr. Cole made a host of friends by his gentlemanly bearing and pleasant manner. He is a chemist and is highly spoken of by those who know him as a man of unusual ability, and of highest character and principles. If the wishes of their many friends avail anything, the future happiness of Mr. and Mrs. Cole is already assured, and theirs will be an ideal life, with health and happiness in unbounded measure. In the good wishes of all their other friends, The Press most heartily joins.
