HANOVER COUPLE WED IN NOON CEREMONY

Miss Carrabelle R. Zellers, 142 Broadway, Hanover, became the bride of George C. Boyer, son of George S. Boyer, 1120 Broadway, Hanover, at noon today in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Hanover. The Rev. Howard J. McCarney, pastor, officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a dress of turquoise satin silk with lace trim on the bouffant skirt, and a white orchid corsage.

Mrs. Anna Winters was matron of honor attired in a dress of peau satin and her flowers were white carnations and pink sweetheart roses. Howard L. Winters served as best man.

A reception was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Winters, Dover, R. D. 4. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds will reside at 142 Broadway, Hanover.

Mrs. G.G. Boyer

Mrs. Carrabelle R. Boyer, 48, wife of George G. Boyer, 134 Broadway, died at 11:05 p.m. Sunday at the Hanover General Hospital. She was a daughter of the late John H. and Georgianna Klinedinst Zellers, and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, a son, Brian G., at home; a brother, Luther Zellers, York, and three sisters, Mrs. Luther Swartz and Mrs. Luther Mummert, Nashville, and Mrs. George Riley, 1400 Baer Ave. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Ruths, at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Wetzel funeral home, Carlisle St. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.

U.S. Army sergeant in WWII

HANOVER — George G. Boyer, 94, of Hanover, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at Hanover Hall Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Carrabelle (Zellers) Boyer.

The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Boyer was born March 20, 1916, in Heidelberg Township. He was the son of the late George S. and Edna (Bollinger) Boyer.

He was a sheetmetal worker in Hanover for several years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2506 in Hanover, McSherrystown Home Association and the Hanover Moose Lodge 227; a member of Local 19, Harold H. Blair American Legion Post 14 in Hanover and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 763 of Hanover; he was a 1933 graduate of Hanover High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as sergeant.
