Raymond E. Boyer

GLEN ROCK — Raymond E. Boyer, 65, husband of Mildred Hershey Boyer, died Thursday at 10:15 a.m. at their home, 4 Ridge Ave., after having been under a doctor's care for a number of years.

He was born in Heidelberg Township, son of George S. Boyer Jr., who resides at the Golden Age Nursing home in hanover, and the late Edna Bollinger Boyer. Also surviving are two children, Mrs. Debra Markle, 556 1/2 McAllister St., Hanover, and Carol Boyer, at home; two grandchildren and a brother, George G. Boyer, Broadway, Hanover.

Mr. Boyer was a member of Hanover Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose, The York Coin Club, Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Co., and Sheet Metal Workers Locat 249 Philadelphia.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home with the Rev. Edgar H. Steedle, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will take place in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.

GLEN ROCK — Mildred B. Hershey Boyer, 77, of Glen Rock, died at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 1993, at Leader's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dallastown.

Born Aug. 14, 1916, in Glen Rock, she was the daughter of the late Ira C. and Annie Markle Hershey. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Boyer.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Glen Rock.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra A. Markle of New Oxford and Carol E. Rhodes of Felton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Stine of Glen Rock.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with her pastor, the Rev. John L. Trout, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery. The viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
