BRADY, BERNARD J., 83, of Palm Harbor, died Tuesday (Aug. 22, 2000) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He was born in Philadelphia and came here in 1969 from St. Louis. He retired with the rand of lieutenant colonel after 28 years with the Air Force. He was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, Palm Harbor. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Evelyn C. "Evie;" three daughters, Jacquelin Sartore, Evansville, Ind., Sister Julie Brady, Dallas, and Kelly Stanton, Midlothian, Va.; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. National Cremation Society, Largo.

Evelyn Brady

Evelyn C. Brady, age 83, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Brady was born on June 9, 1922, in Lincoln, Neb., to Charles Francis Shepard and Gertrude Cabeen Shepard.

Evelyn Brady was married 56 years to Bernard J. Brady, a career member of the United States Air Force, who preceded her in death in August of 2000. She was very patriotic and developed a love for world traveling. She loved sewing and reading. She was a devout member of Christ Our King Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, S.C.

Mrs. Brady is survived by her three daughters, Jacqueline Brady Sartore and husband Dr. Gilbert Sartore of Evansville, Ind., Sister Julie Brady SSND of San Antonio, Texas, Kelly Brady Stanton and husband James of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; nephews, John Walker of Kansas City, Mo., and William Brady of West Chester, Pa.; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Sartore, Aimee Sartore Johnson, John Sartore, Megan Sartore Lacer, Sarah Sartore, Kristin Sartore, Emily Sartore, Katherine Stanton, Amy Stanton, Caroline Stanton, Molly Stanton; great-grandchildren, William, Jacquelin and Maxwell Johnson.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2006, at Christ Our King Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, S.C. Interment will be at Bay Pines National Cemeteries in Clearwater, Fla., the following week.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Brady's name to the MUSC Holling Cancer Center, 18 Bee Street, Charleston, SC, 29401.

Palmetto Cremation Society, 11 Cunnington Ave., Charleston, 29405, is serving the family with funeral arrangements.
