A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert M. Brant, 76, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Moreno Valley. He died Wednesday of a heart attack at Riverside Community Hospital.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. tomorrow at Moreno Valley Mortuary, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Mr. Brant, who was born in Kansas, lived in Moreno Valley nine years. He was a cement mason for more than 30 years, having retired in 1980. He later worked on construction of the Metro Rail system in Los Angeles for 1 1/2 years.

He served in the U. S. Merchant Marine during World War II.

Mr. Brant was a parishioner of St. Christopher's Church and a member of the Cement Masons Local 627 in Bell Gardens.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; two sons, James of El Segundo and Joey De Asis of Moreno Valley; two daughters, Theresa Hillborn of Green Ridge, Mo., and Frances Mendiola of Antelope Valley; seven grandchildren; a brother, Wilbur of Eugene, Ore. and a sister, Pearl Scott in Maine.
