DILLARD ITEMS.

A parcel shower was given Wednesday, June 8th, at 4 o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delos Coon, of Dillard, in honor of Miss Vivian Buell, who is soon to be a bride.

Miss Buell was met at the gate by Mrs. Coon, who ushered her into a room filled with ladies, which was quite a surprise, as she had previously been invited down to dinner. She was then invited to sit on the Navajo and open the tiny parcels which amid peals of laughter were showered on her head as she entered the door. She was then taken to a small room and dressed in her bridal robes for the procession which led down the hall to, "Here Comes the Bride." The bride remained standing on the porch while the guests went on to the lawn, where the bridal bouquet was caught by Minnie Smith. They were then ushered to the wedding table where covers were laid for twenty, and their places ascertained by tiny place cards with pictures of each guest. A very unique feature of the occasion was the centerpiece, which consisted of a large kewpie entwined with pink ribbon and a beautiful bunch of sweet peas. The bride-to-be received many beautiful as well as useful articles. The wedding cake was cut by the bride, and ice cream and cake were served by the hostess and Mesdames Walker and Miller, after which pictures were taken of the bride and invited guests.

Those present were: Miss Eva Rice, Mrs. Harry Davis, Miss Elvira Lewis, Mrs.Lou Walker, Misses Gladys and Lucile Hubbard, Miss Ruth Miller, Mrs. Loren Miller, Mrs. Otto Parker, Misses Myrtle and Clara Herscher, Miss Vivian Buell, Miss Vera Campbell, Miss Esther Moyer, Mrs. Stace and Ray Laurance, Miss Minnie Smith, Miss Rosler, Miss Alta Wright, and the hostess, Mrs. D. Coon. The guests all wished Miss Buell all kinds of future happiness.
