Dallas—Funeral services were held Saturday for Samuel L. (Dick) Buell at the Christian and Missionary Alliance tabernacle with the Rev. Lloyd Rice, officiating. Samuel Buell, 49, was born Jan. 19, 1886 at Ballston and was descended from a pioneer Polk county family. He lived in the Ballston community for a few years and then moved to Falls City where he resided until five years ago when he came to Dallas. He was associated in business with his brother Randall here. He is survived by his widow, four children, Mrs. Vivian Aldrich of Irrigon, Alta, June and Helen, all of Dallas; mother, Mrs. Carletta Buell of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Lavilla Woodard of Cottage Grove, Mrs. Illa Catto of Corbett, Mrs. Viola Wood of Portland and Mrs. Laura Blanchard of Willamina, and five brothers, Randall of Dallas, Ivan, Hathaway and Cecil of Tule Lake, Calif., and Ernest of Springfield. Henkle and Bollman were in charge of the funeral arrangements with interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.

DALLAS — Lois Doris Buell, 75, Crescent City, Calif., formerly of Dallas, died Wednesday in a Greeley, Colo., hospital. She was visiting in Greeley at the time of her death.
A native of Josephine County, she lived in Dallas from 1929 to 1943 and in Hebo and Greeley before moving to Crescent City. She was a retired practical nurse.
Surviving are four daughters, Vivian Shapley, Greeley, Alta Carson, Crescent City, June Lucht, Hubbard, and Helen M. Dexter, Eugene; a sister, Irene Buell, Auburn, Calif.; a brother, Cecil P. Rose, Anderson, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bollman Funeral Home. Interment will be in Dallas Cemetery.
