AN INTERESTING SERIES of parties has been arranged in honor of Miss Jean Houston Quinn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Christian Quinn, and Mr. Henry Stanley Chapman Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stanley Chapman, whose marriage will take place Saturday, June 14.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sheffield gave an evening party at their residence Saturday in honor of these fiances.

Miss Quinn will be the guest of honor today at a kitchen shower to be given by Mrs. William Ogden III. Mrs. Samuel A. Trufant III will be hostess tomorrow at the Cincinnati Country Club at a luncheon in honor of the bride elect.

Mrs. Robert W. Nelson has arranged a bar and gadget shower for miss Quinn for Thursday at the residence of the hostess. On Saturday, Miss Quinn again will share honors with Mr. Chapman at a party from 4 to 6 o'clock. This hospitality will be given by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Palmer at their residence in Wyoming.

Miss Harriet Carothers has reserved Sunday for an evening party for Miss Quinn and Mr. Chapman which she will give at the residence of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ralph G. Carothers.

The marriage of Miss Quinn and Mr. Chapman will be performed at 4:30 o'clock in the presence of the immediate families in the Church of the Redeemer. It will be followed, at 5 o'clock, by a small wedding reception at the residence of the bride's parents.

Miss Quinn has chosen Mr. Chapman's sister, Mrs. Robert F. Egnor of Columbus, Ohio, as her matron of honor and only attendant. Mr. Chapman will have his father as his best man.

Reception Postponed

Mr. and Mrs. John Christian Quinn have postponed the wedding reception of their daughter, Miss Jean Houston Quinn and Mr. Henry Stanley Chapman Jr., because of the death of Mr. Chapman's sister, Mrs. Robert F. Egnor. The wedding ceremony will be performed as planned on Saturday in the presence only of the immediate family.
