Cincinnati Enquirer, April 27, 19195003
The engagement, announced in yesterday's Enquirer, of Miss Elizabeth Hudson Cleneay and Mr. Henry S. Chapman, of Cleveland, is one more conquest for Cupid, which places another of the most charming girls of Cincinnati in line for Hymen's altar. Miss Cleneay's people are so well known to society and she herself is so beloved of both old and young, that her marriage claims more than a passing interest. She is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Q. Cleneay, and has been a belle from her cradle, her popularity being due quite as much to her lovable qualities as to her beauty. mr. Chapman was one of the very few Lieutenant Colonels taken from the National Army, his service with the Three Hundred and Twenty-ninth Infrantry, Eighty-third Division, having been honorable and active. He is a son of Mr. and the late Mrs. John B. Chapman ov Cleveland, hsi return from overseas a few weeks ago, having brought him at once to Cincinnati, where before his departure overseas he used often to be found while stationed at Camp Sherman. While no date is set for the wedding, it is understood that it will take place this spring. Mr. Chapman being established here with his bride, for a year at least, which is a great satisfaction to their friends.
