Smith and the late Mr. Henry Nonnez, and Mr. John Burt Chapman II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stanley Chapman.
The new Mrs. Chapman is a graduate of Washington High School and has many friends in this city who are offering felicitations.
The marriage rites, performed by the Rev. Sidney McCammon, were followed by a reception given by Mr. and Mrs. Smith at the Town Club.
For the reading of the ritual, the chapel's marble-carved altar was decoratively enhanced with the springtime beauty of all white gladioli and snapdragons.
Mr. Henry S. Chapman, Jr. was his brother's best man. Mr. James Browning, a cousin of the bride; Mr. Robert Egnor of Columbus, the bridegroom's brother-in-law, and Mr. William Ogden were ushers
The bride's maid of honor and only attendant was Miss Virginia Brayton of Cleveland, whose gown of coral-hued chiffon was distinctively fashioned with a bouffant skirt and long stole veiling the shoulders.
Miss Brayton's coiffure wreath was of blue delphinium and cornflowers interspersed with Taisman roses, matching her bouquet.
Mr. Henry Palmer Nonnz gave his sister in marriage.
The bride was gowned in white organza over crisp white taffeta. The fitted bodice was distinguished with an elaboration of starched white lace, inset at the neckline in an off-shoulder yoke effect above short sleeves. The bouffant-silhouetted skirt was of organza, bias-flared over taffeta.
Tiers of diaphanous white tulle, cascading waist-length from a bandeau of lace medallions formed the bride's veil. She wore the bridegroom's gift of a strand of pearls, and carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and valley lilies.
The reception held at the Town Club following the ceremony assembled members of the wedding party, and the family connections and friends of the bride and bridegroom as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
As a background for the receiving ine, the colonial mantel of the club's lounge was decorated in wide-spreading arrangemetns of all white garden flowers.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Smith wore a sapphire blue crepe gown and matching lace bolero, a small hat of blue veiling and a corsage of white roses.
Miss Barbara Wood and Miss Jean Quinn assisted with the hospitalities of the tea and coffee services at the buffet table, which was decorated in white snapdragons and stock.
At the conclusion of the reception, Mr. Chapman and his bride left on a wedding journey to the East and South to the coast of Georgia. For traveling, the bride chose an ensemble combining a gray bodice and black skirt, set of with cromson accessories.
Upon their return to Cincinnati, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman will reside temporarily at the Paxton Avenue apartment of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who will be abset from town on a six week's sojourn in Minnesota.

Mrs. John B. Chapman, who was Miss Jean Nonnez before her marriage only four months ago, died suddenly at Holmes Hospital in Cincinnati at 9 A. M. Wednesday of pneumonia.
Mrs. Chapman, a graduate of Washington C. H. High School, was the daughter of Mrs. Harry Smith and the late Henry Nonnez of Cincinnati.
Word of her death was received by close relatives and friends here about mid-day Wednesday as a shock. Although they had known Mrs. Chapmen had been troubled with a heart condition for several years, it was not considered serious—and they said they had not heard of the pneumonia with which she was stricken last week end.
Mrs. Chapman, relatives learned, had been in the hospital three days and was thought to be showing improvement. Her mother was with her when she died.
Mr. and Mrs. Chapman had been living in Cincinnati since their marriage.
Mrs. Chapman was a native of Cincinnati but had lived in Washington C. H. during her high school years. After her graduation at WHS, she attended Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati.
She leaves, besides her husband and mother, a brother Henry Nonnez, of Cincinnati, an extensive family connection here and many friends.
Arrangements for the funeral and interment have not been completed.
