Mardene Stanley

STEVENS POINT — Mardene E. Stanley, 68, formerly of Neillsville, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice, Marshfield.

She was born in the town of Grant, Clark County, and married Joseph Chase June 15, 1939, in Neillsville. They were later divorced. She worked for the Federal and Civil Service for more than 25 years in Neillsville, Tacoma, Wash., and Fort McCoy. She moved to Stevens Point after retirement. She was a member of Sparta American Legion Auxiliary and Nation Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Chase of Junction City; a daughter, Marcia Strand of Brown Deer; a brother, Allen Stanley of Neillsville; two sisters, Ruth Jacobs, of Wausau, Jen Krutsch of Granton; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, with burial in Neillsville Cemetery.
