MADISON, N. J., Dec. 1—Announcement has been made by Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Edwin Steers of this place, formerly of South Orange, N. J., of the engagement of their daughter, Patricia Eleanor, to Charles Hillyer Clarke, son of Mrs. Allen Hillyer Clarke of Summit, N. J., and the late Mr. Clarke.
Miss Steers was graduated from the Berkeley School, and is a member of the Junior League of the Oranges. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Howard Townsend Terrell of Scotia, N. Y., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Herman Graf of Albany, N. Y.
Mr. Clarke, an alumnus of the Pingry School in Elizabeth, N. J., served for three years with the Army Engineers Amphibian Command during the war, two years of which were spent in the South Pacific. He is a grandson of Mrs. Charles C. Cook of Montclair, and the late Rev. Mr. Cook, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Allen Clarke of East Orange. He is with the accounting firm of Clarke, Oakes & Greenwood in New York.

MADISON, N. J., May 3-Miss Patricia Eleanor Steers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Edwin Steers, formerly of South Orange, N. J., has completed plans for her marriage on the afternoon of May 22 to Charles Hillyer Clarke, son of Mrs. Allen Hillyer Clarke of Summit, and the late Mr. Clarke. The ceremony will take place at the home of the bride-elect's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. William Vrooming Steers, in Cranford.
Mrs. Pierce Anderson Cassedy Jr. will be her sister's matron of honor, and the bridesmaids will be the Misses Jacqueline Mansfield Clarke and Patricia Anne Clarke, sisters of the prospective bridegroom.
Dr. Charles Kennedy of Victor, N. Y., will be best man for his brother-in-law, who will have as ushers his cousins, Charles Collier Cook of Bloomfield and Richard Fuller Cook of Glen Ridge.

Of interest to many Albanians was the marriage Saturday afternoon of Miss Patricia Eleanor Steers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Edwin Steers, Madison, N. J., and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Herman Graf of Albany, to Charles Hillyer Clarke, son of Mrs. Allen Hillyer Clarke, Summit, N. J., and the late Mr. Clarke.
The wedding took place in Cranford, N. J., at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs.. William Vrooman Steers, with the Rev. Charles L. Mead, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, South Orange, N. J., officiating.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore ivory satin with fitted bodice having a sweetheart neckline and a full skirt over modified hoop ending in a train. She wore an heirloom rosepoint lace veil which had been worn by her mother and sister. She carried stephanotis and eucharist lilies.
The bride is a graduate of Columbia High School, South Orange, and Berkeley Secretarial School, East Orange, and is a member of the Junior League of the Oranges. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Howard Townsend Terrell, Scotia.
Mr. Clarke is a graduate of Pingry School, Elizabeth, N. J., and served three years with the Army Engineers Amphibian Command, two being in the South Pacific.
