CAMBRIDGE — Lyle J. Clure, 78, of Cambridge, died Monday, March 26, 1990, at a Weiser hospital where he had been hospitalized for the past ten days.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Cambridge Bible Church where he was affiliated. Pastor Driggs Jessup of the Cambridge Bible Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge. Services are under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home, Weiser.
Mr. Clure was born March 17, 1912, at Cambridge, a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Clure. He was raised and educated at Cambridge where he spent most of his life, except for a short time in the Weiser area, where he was employed in operation heavy equipment. This was interupted at the outbreak of World War II when he enlisted. He served with Company 132nd Arm'd. Ord. Maint. Bns for nearly four years. 16 months of that time was spent overseas in the European Theater. He was married to Mary Margaret Vogel on June 12, 1947, at the home of the brides parents. They established their home at Cambridge where he had an automotive and farm machinery repair shop which he operated until the fall of 1983, when illness forced his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two brothers, Raymond and Bert of Cambridge; and two sisters, Geraldine (Mrs. George) Scheline of Cambridge and Vivian (Mrs. Orville) Schmitz of Portland, Ore.
The family suggests that memorial may be made in his name to the Cambridge Ambulance Fund c/o Stuart Dopf, P.O. Box 9, Cambridge 83610.

Mary Margaret Vogue Clure, 78, of Cambridge, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1993, of natural causes at Cambridge.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the Cambridge Bible Church with Pastor Russ Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Cambridge Cemetery.
Margaret was born March 26, 1914, at Cambridge, the only daughter of Charles T. and Hattie May Charles Vogel. She attended Cambridge schools. She held a secretarial position at Wilson's Agency for sixteen years.
Margaret married Lyle J. Clure June 12, 1947, at Cambridge. The couple spent forty three years together at Cambridge where Lyle maintained a mechanical repair shop.
She was close to her family and will be missed by many friends also.
Survivors include three brothers and their wives, Thomas and Mary Vogel of Phoenix, Ariz., Ellis and Susan Vogel of Nampa, Donald and Vicki Vogel of Boise; and by many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband and tow brothers, Robert and Bertram.
