Vivian Emma Schmitz

A private service will be held for Vivian Emma Schmitz, who died Feb. 3, 1998, at age 81.

Mrs. Schmitz was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Cambridge, Idaho. Her maiden name was Clure. She had lived in the Portland area since 1940. She worked for J. C. Penney and Rodger's stores. She married Orville in 1937; he died in 1992.

Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Brandt of Portland; son, James of Redland, Calif.; sister, Geraldine Scheline, and brother, Bert Clure, both of Cambridge, Idaho; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Private interment will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Tigard. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity. Arrangements are by Young's Funeral Home.
