COLTON—Marvin C. Colton, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Friday, April 3, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mazelle V. Colton of Albuquerque. Mr. Colton served in WWII, 8th Air Force, as a bombardier with the 386th Bomb Group, flying B026 Marauders and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of the Elks Club, Ballut Abyad Temple Shriner's Band, Lion's Club, Scottish Rite, Albuquerque York Rite Masons, and Royal Order of Jesters. Mr. Colton was also a member of the Four Hills Country Club. He was a member of St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, where he was Treasurer Emeritus. Mr. Colton owned and operated the New Mexico Chemical and Surgical Company. Services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE, with the Rev. Kathryn Moore Newman, the Rev. Chuck Collins, and the Rev.. Charles Fish officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be James Melvin, Bob Armstrong, John Denslow, Bill Lord, Frank Pickle, and Larry Frear. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 6600 Zuni SE 87108, or to St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE 87106.
