SHENANDOAH, Iowa — Charles Lloyd Coston, 82, Shenandoah, formerly of Skidmore, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 11, 1991, at a hospital here.
Born in Maitland, Mo., Mr. Coston lived most of his life in the Skidmore area, moving to Shenandoah in 1990.
He attended the Maitland schools.
Mr. Coston spent his lifetime farming in the Skidmore area.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Skidmore.
In 1928, he married the former Sara E. Johnson in Skidmore. She survives of the home.
Mr. Coston was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence McGinnis and Flossie Lockhart; and three brothers, Dallas, Lester and Glenn.
Additional survivors: three daughters, Donna J. Johnson and Anita C. Brunk, both of Shenandoah, and Lois Y. Bowenkamp of Skidmore; a brother, Walter Coston of New Market, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Skidmore, Mo., Christian Church. Burial: Hill Crest Cemetery, Skidmore. Visitation: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, Mo.

SHENANDOAH, Iowa — Sara Etta Coston, 84, Shenandoah, formerly of Skidmore, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1991, at an Omaha, Neb., hospital.
A native of Wills Point, Texas, Mrs. Coston had lived most of her life in Skidmore. She attended the Wells Point school.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church at Skidmore.
In 1928, she married Charles L. Coston at Skidmore. He died in 1991.
Mrs. Coston also was preceded in death by a sister, Lettie Davis; and five brothers, John N. "Bud," Joseph O. "Mike," Russell, Robert "Bob and William Johnson.
Surviving: three daughters, Donna J. Johnson and Anita C. Brunk, both of Shenandoah, and Lois Y. Bowenkamp of Skidmore, two brothers, Dale Johnson of Maryville, Mo., and Melburn Johnson of Shenandoah; four sisters, Susan McNeeley of Maryville, Adelle Jones and Edna Zion, both of Skidmore, and Joan Sportsman of Graham, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
