Flossie Irene Coston, daughter of Eugene and Minnie Coston was born February 14, 1899 at Maitland, Mo., and passed away after a short illness December 15th, 1951 at the hospital in Atchison, Kansas at the age of 52 years, 10 months, 1 day.
December 23, 1921, she was united in marriage to Beuron Lockhart at Skidmore, Mo. TO this union were born three children, Mrs. Orville Harrier of ?, Willis of Huron and Glenn at home.
Flossie, as every one knew her, spent her early life around Maitland until her marriage, then she moved to Kansas where she has since resided.
Flossie belonged to the North Cedar Club of near Denison, Kansas.
She was a happy, cheerful and well loved person by everyone who knew her. With her at her bedside at her passing were her devoted husband, one son and daughter and a daughter-in-law.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Beuron, and three children, Mrs. Orville Harrier, Willis and Glenn and one granddaughter, Cheryl; one sister, Mrs. Florence McGinnis, Omaha, Nebr.; five brothers, Lester of Mound City, Dallas of Denver, Colo., Glen of New Market, Ia., Lloyd of Quitman, Mo., and Walter of New Market, Ia., besides a host of friends and relatives. Her mother and father preceded her in death.
She was laid to rest in the Horton Cemetery at Horton, Kansas.

Beuron Lockhart, 78, retired farmer, died at 12:30 o'clock this morning at a local nursing home. He had suffered with heart trouble for some time and had been a resident of the home since Feb. 15, 1964.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stanton chapel. The Rev. William Odor, minister of the Cummings Christian church, will officate. Burial will be in the Horton cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 o'clock Sunday night at the Stanton funeral home.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lockhart, Mr. Lockhart was bron in Janesville, Va., April 10, 1887. He resided in Missouri and farmed in Marshall and Brown counties in Kansas before coming to Atchison county in1946.
He was seven years old when his parents came to southern Missouri. Later the family moved to Maitland, Mo.
His wife, Flossie, died Dec. 15, 1951. They were married Dec. 23, 1921, at Maitland. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Coston.
He leaves two sons, Willis Lockhart, Cummings, and Glenn Lockhart, Cedarvale, Kas.; a daughter, Mrs. Orville (Hazel) Harrier, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Watson, Maitland, Mo., and Mrs. Martha Robnett, Stuttgart, Ark.; a brother, Zion Lockhart, Sumner, Wash., and five grandchildren.
Mr. Lockhart was a member of the Methodist church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Alice Dickens, Sumner, Wash., and two brothers, Emmett Lockhart, Sumner, Wash., and Neil Lockhart, Maryville, Mo.
