DENMARK COUPLE MARRIED.

Denmark, Ia., Oct. 13—Mr. Kent Crabtree and Miss Helen Houston were united in marriage Tuesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Houston. Rev. Mr. Bensinger, of Fort Madison, was the officiating minister. About thirty relatives and friends of the couple witnessed the ceremony. After the congratulations, they left for a brief honeymoon trip after which they will be at home on Mr. Crabtree's farm one mile east of town.

Kent Crabtree Dies Sunday
Kent L. Crabtree, 58, Fort madison R. R. 1, a prominent Lee county farmer, died suddenly at 7:30 a. m. Sunday in his home.
A lifelong resident of the vicinity, he was born April 8, 1896, at Augusta. On October 12, 1920, at Fort Madison, he married Helen Houston, who survives.He was a member of the Congregational church, the Elks lodge, and the Modern Woodsmen of America.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Clair K. Crabtree, Fort Madison R. R. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Lee (Wanda Jean) Siegrist, of near Denmark; and one brother, Charles Crabtree, Fort Madison R. R. 1. Five grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Katherine Shepherd Crabtree.
Funeral Wednesday
The body is at Clements' Chapel where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. (CST) Wednesday with the Rev. Homer Doak, Osage, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery with Elks lodge service at the graveside.

FT. MADISON —Mrs. Helen H. Crabtree, 80, Ft. Madison Rt. 1, died at 1:44 a.m. Monday, April 7, 1980, at Ft. Madison Community hospital.
She was born in Lee county March 27, 1900, to Arthur and Lizzie Mills Houston. She married Kent L. Crabtree Oct. 12, 1920, in Lee county; he died in 1954.
She was a member of the Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ and the Sawyer circle of the church, the Pollyanna club, the TTT's, Ft. Madison Women's club, Lee County Historical society, and the Lee county Farm Bureau.
Surviving: Daughter, Mrs. Lee (Wanda) Siegrist, West Point Rt. 1; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funerl: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Barr Memorial chapel, the Rev. Richard Hempenius; Fairview cemetery. A memorial has been established for her church.
