Crane-Strong Nuptials at Home of Bride's Parents

Miss Carrie Louise Strong, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Strong, and A. Burton Crane were married yesterday noon at the home of the bride's parents in Main street by Rev. Daniel R. Kennedy, jr., pastor of the First Congregational Church, of which both are members. The Philharmonic Orchestra of Springfield furnished the music. Barr of Springfield catered. The bride wore a gown of white crepe meteor and carried a shower bouquet of bride roses and lilies of the valley. They received many handsome gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Crane left at 1:30 o'clock by automobile for a short wedding trip, and upon their return will be at home in Day avenue to their friends after December 18.

Amos Burton Crane

Suffield, Feb. 18.—(Special.)—Amos Burton Crane, 64, for seven years chairman of the Board of Selectmen of Suffield and former principal of the Center Grammar School, died Wednesday. Besides his terms on the Board of Selectmen Mr. Crane had served for several years on the Town School Committee, had been a member of the board of trustees of the Suffield School for 21 years, and a member and treasurer of the First Congregational Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Carrie Strong Crane, a brother, John O. Crane of Suffield and a nephew, Charles Bacon of Middletown. The funeral will be at his home Saturday at 2:30 p. m. Re. Arthur H. Hope of the First Congregational Church and Rev. Daniel R. Kennedy, Jr., will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The flag at the Town Hall will be at half staff until after the funeral.

Mrs. Carrie Crane

Mrs. Carrie (Strong) Crane, 79, widow of Amos B. Crane of 288 Main St., died at her home Thursday. She was born in Suffield, Aug. 28, 1874, daughter of the late Asa L. and Hattie (Williston) Strong.

Mrs. Crane was a charter member of Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter, DAR, of Suffield. She leaves several cousins.

Private funeral services will be held at her home Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Richard P. Cartor, pastor of the First Church of Chist, Congregational, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield.
