Mr. George Williston, whom every one far and near knows as Judge Williston, was prostrated about 11 o'clock on Friday night with a paralytic shock which affected the right side of the body from the shoulder down and also the left side of his face. His physicians do not express much hope that he will ever rally again, but say as long as there is life there is hope. His age, however,—78, is strongly against his recovery. He is totally unconscious, but seemingly suffers no pain or discomfort. Mr. Williston has lived here since he was 11 years old and has been largely indentified with town affairs, having been postmaster for a number of years and judge of probate for 21 years, only resigning by reason of the limitation of age, and has been in business here for nearly 50 years, living in his present location nearly 40 years. His death would leave a conspicuous void in the ranks of our township.
