Funeral services for Benjamin F. Reed, 70, a retired foreman for the Pennsylvania Railroad at the Lucknow shops who died Tuesday at his home, 2111 Jefferson street, following a brief illness will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home with the Rev. E. Martin Grove, pastor of the bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Shoop's Church Cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Agnes V. Reed, two sons, Rubin S. of Colebrook, and John R., of this city; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Paul Rittler, of this city, and five grandchildren.
Mr. Reed was retired from active service five years ago after serving the Pennsylvania Railroad for forty-eight years. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church; Knights of Malta, Lodge No. 59; Loyal Order of Moose; the Mooseheart Legion; Knights of Khorassan, No. 204, and the Nomads of Avendaka.

Mrs. Agnes V. Reed, 77, widow of Benjamin F. Reed, died Saturday evening at a Harrisburg hospital. She had resided with her son-in-law, Paul T. Rittler, 2111 Jefferson street, Harrisburg.
Mrs. Reed was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Dames of Malta, the Pythian Sisters, and Review 257 of the Women's Benefit Association.
Among her survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Samuel Heintzelman, 610 North Fifth street, and Mrs. Howard Moore, 448 North Fifth street, Sunbury; and Mrs. Harvey Burns, Milton, as well as a brother, Harry Dagnell, Lewistown.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday from the funeral home at Third and Maclay streets, in Harrisburg.
