David "Gene" Lyons Dana, 76, of Goodwin

On June 15, 1995, Gene Dana passed away at the QEII Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He resided in Goodwin from infancy until the time of his passing away.

Gene was born in Bellingham, Washington on November 13, 1918 to Margaret and David Dana. Gene was an active outdoorsman with special interests in trapping, wildlife and conservation.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Grace (nee: Newman), sister Peggy (Ike) Doerkson of B.C.; his children: Wayne (Dorothy) of Slave Lake, Lynne (Ken) Fjellner of Valleyview, Chris (Kathy) of Sturgeon Heights, and Pat (Brian) Given of DeBolt; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous friends.

Gene was predeceased by brothers Thomas and Carroll (Cal).

A private funeral service for the late Gene Dana will be held on Saturday, June 17, 1995. Rev. Harold Povey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the QEII Hospital Cancer Clinic.
