CLARK J. DILLOW

Clark J. Dillow, 82, one of Brecksville's oldest and most prominent native residents, died yesterday at his home, 8079 Brecksville Road, after an illness of less than a week.

Mr. Dillow who was founder and senior partner in the undertaking establishment of Dillow & Wood, had been a leader in the village's civic affairs since its early township days.

At that time he held a number of offices, including those of constable, clerk of the township and its school board, and township trustee. He was one of the original directors and stockholders of the Brecksville Bank Co., where he had been associated since it was founded 26 years ago.

A farmer in his early days, Mr. Dillow had been a funeral director for the last 40 years and had continued active in business until a week before his death.

Surviving him are his son, James H., of Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Wood; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bessie Barnes Clark, both of Brecksville, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the residence.
