The marriage of Miss Sue Irvine Dyson of Washington, D. C., and San Antonio, Texas, and Mr. David Worth Culbreth of Fayetteville and Rocky Mount was solemnized on Friday, January second, in the Thorpe Memorial chapel of the First Presbyterian church here. The Reverend Norman Johnson, Pastor, officiated.
White carnations, ferns, and lighted white tapers in floor standards formed a lovely background for the impressive ring ceremony, which was witnessed by a number of friends and relatives of the young couple.
A short program of nuptial music was presented by Mrs. E. G. Hornbeck, organist. THe traditional wedding marches were used and during the ceremony Mrs. Hornbeck softly played "Liebestraum" by Liszt.
The bride and bridegroom were unattended and entered the chapel together. The bride, an attractive brunette, was attired in an aqua afternoon dress with which she wore black accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias and white lilies.
Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Culbreth left for a short wedding trip. Upon their return they will be at home at 512 Hammond street in this city. For traveling the bride wore a spring suit of Cinnamon wool with black accessories.
