FRENCH—Died in this city Wednesday, June 10, 1970. Mrs. Robert N. (Rebecca M.) French of 13 Columbia Avenue. The funeral service will be conducted Friday morning at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions in her name to the Memorial Fund of The Church of The Good Shepher. The Farwell Funeral Service, 18 Lock St., is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral service for Mrs. Rebecca M. French of 13 Columbia Ave., wife of Robert N. French, was held in the Farwell Funeral Home Friday morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Walter C. Righter, rector of the Church of The Good Shepherd, officiated.
Serving as bearers were George K. Bundy, George Davies, Harold Bundy, Benjamin Bundy, Harold French and Herbert W. Snow.
Committal service took place at the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Robert Newton French, 82, of 13 Columbia Avenue, a native and well-known resident of this city, died in a local hospital early Wednesday afternoon following a short illness.
A retired official of the former Nashua Manufacturing Company, Mr. French had for some 35 years, serving as paymaster. He was born in this city Dec. 8, 1892, a son of the late Walter C. and Jennie Tolles (Newton) French.
Mr. French was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1911 and served with the U.S. Army during World War I. Following the closing of the Nashua Manufacturing Co. in the mid-forties, he was employed for a time as a bookkeeper with Nashua Auto Co. and later with Soucy's Lincoln and Mercury Agency.
Mr. French was a member of the Church of The Good Shepherd, a member and secretary of The Board of Trustees of Woodlawn Cemetery for many years, and a member of the Nashua Historical Society. He married the former Rebecca Bundy of this city in May of 1929. Mrs. French died in 1970. He is survived by two cousins, Mrs. Cornelia F. Wadleigh of Durham, N.H. and Harold G. French of Hudson, N.H.
