Mrs. Charles Barnes and Mrs. Melvin Gilbert of Dayton, Ohio, and Samuel Sponagle, of Springfield, O., who were called here by the death of their mother, Mrs. Nancy Sponagle Clark, returned to their homes Monday after spending a few days with their cousin, Mrs. Joseph Wisman, of Edinburg. Mrs. W. H. McLaughlin, of Dayton, and Mrs. Scott Bryan, of Woodstock, nieces of Mrs. Clark, were also guests of Mrs. Wisman.

WEST MILTON, April. 24.—Funeral services for Mrs. Katheine Gilbert, 67, R. R. 1, Union, who died Friday night after a long illness, will be held Monday at 2:30 p. m. at the residence. Burial will be in Warner cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; two daughters, Miss Mildred Gilbert and Mrs. William Hart; two sisters, two brothers, and one granddaughter.

Melvin Gilbert

Melvin Gilbert, 89, of 340 W. Hillcrest av., died at 7 a. m. Tuesday at his residence after a brief illness.

Born at Union, he had been a farmer, and was employed six years at the Biltmore hotel.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Hart of the Hillcrest av. address, with whom he made his home, and Mildred of Los Angeles; a sister, Rlmeda of Dayton, a grandchild and thre great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday at the Baker funeral home, 5555 Philadelphia dr., by The Rev. Michael Eckert. Burial will be in Warner cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday.
