Charles Gillihan

SKIDMORE, Mo. — Charles L. Gillihan, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 1988, at a health-care center in Maryville, Mo.

Mr. Gillihan was born in Blanchard, Iowa, and was a lifelong resident of Skidmore.

He married the former Bessie Coston on March 1, 1927, in Maryville. She survives of the home.

Mr. Gillihan was a retired farmer and a member of Skidmore Christian Church.

Additional survivors: two daughters, Norma Jean King, Crown Point, Ind., and Charlene Grahl, Quitman, Mo.; a brother, Eddie, Maryville, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Johnson Funeral Home, Maryville. Burial, Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore. Visitation, anytime at the funeral home.

Bessie Gillihan

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Bessie (Coston) Gillihan, 90, Maryville, formerly of Skidmore, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 25, 1994, at a Maryville health-care center.

Born in Skidmore, Mrs. Gillihan, a homemaker, had lived in that area most of her life until moving to Maryville two years ago.

In 1927, she married Charley L. Gillihan at Maryville. He died in 1988.

Mrs. Gillihan also was preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel Snell, Clara Steph, Dale Auer and Mae Hardman; and a brother, Frank Coston.

Surviving: two daughters, Norma J. King, Crown Point, Ind., and Charlene Grahl, Quitman, Mo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Burial, Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore.
