Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coston enjoyed all the members of their family at a reunion during the holidays for the first time in five years. The children and their families attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Coston, who live in Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. T. Markum, Grand Juction, Colo.; Miss Erma Coston, Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. Lavena Jones and Joette, Kansas City, and Mr. and Mrs. William Coston.

Self-Inflicted Gun Shot Wounds Kill Mrs. Coston

Mrs. Mabel A. Coston, 59, died shortly after 1 a.m. today at her home in Skidmore of self-inflicted shotgun wounds. She called a son shortly before taking her life and he was the one who found the body. She had been despondent, according to Dr. B. F. Byland, county coroner.

Mrs. Coston was born July 17, 1899, at Skidmore, the daughter of the late William M. Taylor and Mattie Cottrel Taylor. She was married to Frank Coston, who survived. She lived most of her life in the Skidmore community.

Survivors are her husband, Skidmore; two sons, William F. Coston and Robert V. Coston, Skidmore; three daughters, Miss Erma Louise Coston, Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. Earlene A. Markhow, Albuquerque, N. M.; and Mrs. LaVena M. Loehr, Kansas City; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Glen Taylor, Skidmore; four sisters, Mrs. John Hart, Skidmore; Mrs. Austin Robert and Mrs. W. L. Landfather, Maryville, and Mrs. Russell Bilby, Napa, Calif.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Atchison Funeral Home.
