Dan Tefft Of Olean Finally Succumbs To a Lengthy Illness

Funeral services for Daniel D. Tefft, chief draftsman for Clark Brothers Company, Olean, who passed away at his home in that city Sunday, were held in the Olean Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Whitney M. Trousdale officiate.

Born in Belmont 56 years ago, Mr. Tefft had been an employee of Clark Brothers since he left college, removing to Olean with the company from Belmont 30 years ago. He had been ill for the past four months.

Survivors, besides the widow, are two sons, Sgt. Lloyd G., Army Air Force, Myrtle Beach, S. C., and Thomas H., at home; and a sister, Mrs. F. T. Munson of Detroit, Mich. The late Mrs. B. B. Ackerman was also a sister.

Deceased was twice married, first [unreadable] to which union the son, Sgt. Lloyd G., was born. The second time to Miss Velma Hall of Olean and to which union the second son, Thomas, was born. He is a senior in Olean High School and president of his class.

Although long removed from Belmont, he left behind many friends with whom he had never lost contact and his return home was always a joyful occasion.

For many months his illness had continued, compelling his retirement from work and during which time he had undergone two major operations. His end was not unlooked for.

Belmont friends attending the funeral were Claude and Herbert Ackerman, nephews, with their wives, Mrs. W. E. Seager and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rogers.

With the passing of Dan Tefft, Mrs. F. T. Munson, above mentioned, is the sole surviving member of the Thomas Tefft family, prominent here many years ago.
