Mrs. George (Edna) Harvey

Mrs. Edna L. Harvey, 66, of 56330 Cedar Road, died at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center in South Bend after a two-month illness. Born on Sept. 7, 1914, in Atherton, Ind., she lived in the Mishawaka area for 40 years, moving from Terra Haute. A member of VFW Post 360's auxiliary, she retired in 1975 from the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corp.

As Edna L. Moss on Jan. 7, 1932, in Terre Haute, she married George E. Harvey, who survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Linda) Ream of mishawaka; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Kirby of Clinton, Ind., Mrs. Viola Hastings of Chicago, Mrs. Carel (Iva) Russell of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Miss Ruth Moss of South Bend, and two brothers, Russell Moss of Terre Haute and Raymond Moss of Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Bubb Funeral Home.

MISHAWAKA — George E. Harvey, 83, of Currant Road, died at 8 a.m. Friday in an apparent suicide. Mr. Harvey retired from the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corp. He was born Dec. 1, 1911, in North Terre Haute, Ind. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Ream of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a companion, Gladys Sorgenfrie. His wife, Edna L. Harvey, and a daughter, Joanne Harvey, preceded him in death. He was a member of Penn North Volunteer Fire Department and Osceola Civil Defense Group.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p..m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of St. Joseph County.
