Edward Thomas Dobbs, an early member and for years the treasurer of the Thirteen Club, of this city, died at his home, 161 Remsen street, Christmas eve, of pneumonia, after ten days of illness. Dr. Dobbs was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dobbs, of Dobbs Ferry, N. Y., and was born 54 years ago, in Neosha, Minn. After graduating as a dentist, he practiced in Manhattan for a few years, and moved to Brooklyn twenty-five years ago. For eighteen years he had lived on State street, near Clinton. Latterly he had retired from the practice of dentistry, and devoted himself to literature. He had a library of 6,000 volumes and was a student of philosophical subjects. He was a member of the Thirteen Club, the Dickens Fellowship, the Pleaides and the Sunrise clubs, and of the Royal Arcanum. His widow is Jane Hawkins, daughter of Judge Hawkins of the Supreme Court of Michigan, and niece of former United States Senator Thomas W. Palmer. The funeral services will be held at his late home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the boty will be cremated at Fresh Pond, according to the request of the deceased.

Dr. Henry Lord Cochran, who retired in 1926 after many years of surgical practice in Brooklyn, died yesterday in his residence, 1326 Madison Avenue, after more than a year's illness, at the age of 81. A son, Harry S. Cochran of the same address, survives.
Dr. Cochran, a son of the late David Cochran, former president of the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, received his professional education at the Long Island College Hospital. For forty-five years he was an examining surgeon for the Commercial Travelers Insurance Company of Utica, for twenty-five years he was an officer of the Medical Corps of the State militia, attached to the Twenty-third Regiment of Brooklyn.

Dr. Henry Lord Cochran, 81, retired Brooklyn surgeon and oldest alumnus of Long Island College Hospital, died yesterday in his home, 1326 Madison Ave., Manhattan, after an illness of more than a year.
Dr. Cochran retired in 1926. He was born in Albany and received his medical education at Long Island College Hospital. His father, the late David Cochran, was at one time president of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Cochran lived in Brooklyn from boyhood until his retirement.
For many years he had offices at 141 Clinton St. He was a member of the medical staffs of the Long Island College and Cumberland Hospitals. For 45 years he was an examiner for the Commercial Travelers Insurance Company of Utica and for 25 years he was an officer in the Medical Corps of the State Militia, attached to the 23rd Regiment of Brooklyn. He was a retired colonel of the National Guard and a Master Mason.
Dr. Cochran was the husband of the late Jennie Strule Cochran, who died 25 years ago. He leaves a son, Harry S. Cochran, of Manhattan, and a sister and brother, Rose and Thomas Cochran, of Flemington, N. J.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 tonight in the Plaza Chapel, 40 W. 58th St., Manhattan. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery tomorrow.
