National Republican, October 4, 18761960
Last evening, at the residence of the bride's father, in this city, Mr. M. D. Helm, foreman of the Congressional Record, Government printing office, led to the altar Mattie A. Seitz. The ceremony was performed by Rev. George O. Little, in the presence of a select group of the immediate friends of the parties. The happy pair left on the night train for Philadelphia, where they will spend a few days in visiting the Centennial, and will proceed from thence to Mr. Helm's home, in Indiana, where he will be on the 10th instant to cast his vote for Hayes and Harrison, like a true patriot. A large circle of acquaintances will join us in wishing the new-made pair a prosperous and happy future.

Death of Mrs. M. D. Helm—Mrs. Martha A. Helm, wife of M. D. Helm, died yesterday at her home, No. 124 E street northwest. The death of Mrs. Helm comes as a great shock to her many friends, although for some time past she has been in very bad health. She was a very charming woman, gracious in manner and thought, and had endeared herself to a wide circle of acquaintances. Mrs. Helm came to Washington with her husband about 1881, when Gen. Brady purchased the National Republican, Mr. Helm taking charge of the mechanical department of the paper. Later he managed the Critic, and was afterward appointed foreman of the Congressional Record by Public Printer Records.
The funeral will take place to-morrow at 3 p.m., the interment being at Rock Creek.
Muncie Evening Press, April 14, 19096957
Mornay D. Helm, several years ago a prominent resident of Muncie and during the past fifteen years a resident of New York City, died last night. Mr. Helm was a son of the late Dr. J. C. Helm, a pioneer of Delaware county and was well known to the older residents of this city. He with Fuller Ethel founded the Muncie Weekly Times and conducted the paper for sometime. The Weekly Times is still published, by the owner of the Muncie Press. He enlisted from Delaware county in the Civil war and after four years service went to Washington where he was employed in the government printing office for nearly twenty years, becoming first assistant to the public printer during his service there. Mr. Helm then moved to New York where he has been engaged in the brokerage business. He is survived by a wife and one son, Edgar E. Helm, of Washington, D. C.; a half-sister, Mrs. W. W> Orr and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Helm, both of this city.
