Mr. and Mrs. Roy F. Pollard of Memphis, Tenn., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Janet, to Robert R. Henn, son of Dr. and Mrs. S. C. Henn, 7323 Bennett av. The wedding will take place in Lindsay Memorial Presbyterian church, Memphis, Aug. 16. Miss Pollard is a graduate of North Texas State college at Denton. Henn was in the nave three years and is not attending Colorado college at Denver.

Robert Roe "Bob" Henn, resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1996, passed away at home on August 3, 2007. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 25, 1924, to Dr. S.C. Henn and Helen Roe Henn. Bob served in the US Navy during World War II. He was shot down over Iwo Jima where he saved his pilot's life. Upon returning from the War, he graduated from Colorado College. In 1950, Bob, and his wife of 60 years, Janet P. Henn, lived in Olympia Fields, Illinois, where he was an active member of the community. He was a Village Trustee for a decade, Board member of the Olympia Fields United Way and volunteer with the Police Department and the Public Works Department. He donated more than 20 Gallons of blood to the American Red Cross! He was the Midwestern Advertising Manager for The National Geographic Society, and later represented various magazines, including Old House Journal, Semper Fi, Colonial Williamsburg Journal, and American Spirit. Bob is survived by his wife, Janet, three children (Robert Jr., Nancy, and Linda,) seven grandchildren)Charlie, Eric, Dan Amanda, Beatrice, Kylie and Alix.) Two great grandchildren (Sarah and Campbell) and his two sisters, Helen Groebner and Dorothy Wood. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Dick. Private family services have been held.
