HENRY SYLVESTER HILLS, son of JULIA CAROLINA LOOMIS and ELMER ELLIOTT HILLS, was born January 10, 1912 in Illinois,²⁵⁰ and died July 9, 1988 in Los Angeles County, California.²⁵⁰ He is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles, California.⁴⁵⁶

He married HELEN PIETZ MCGUIRE on May 22, 1939 in Church of Our Savior, San Gabriel, Los Angeles, California.⁸³⁶¹ She was born July 13, 1919 in California,²⁵⁰ and died March 5, 1967 in Orange County, California.²⁵⁰ She is buried in San Gabriel Cemetery, Los Angeles County, California.⁴⁵⁶

Miss Helen McGuire to Wed in Fortnight

Mrs. Jay M. Shallenberger of San Gabriel announced the engagement of her daughter, Helen Pietz McGuire, to Henry S. Hills, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hills of South Pasadena, at an informal tea given yesterday.

The wedding will be May 22 in the Church of Our Savior, San Gabriel.

Miss Harriet Hills, sister of the bridegroom, is to be maid of honor and Miss Virginia Shirley Apgar and Miss Gladys Reed will be bridesmaids. Robert Biles will be best man and ushers are to be Harvey Kamphenberg, Mardon Beccheler, Paul Nissen and Heber Goods.
