GEORGE W. POLZIN, 82, of JACKSON TOWNSHIP, died Sunday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a steam plant operator with the Department of Water and Power, Los Angeles for 14 years, retiring in 1971. He was an Army veteran during World War II. Mr. Polzin was born in Chicago and loved most of his life in Paradise, Calif. before moving to Jackson Township in 1978.

Surviving are his wife, Edythe Hills Polzin; a son, Stephen E., Lake Oswego, Ore.; a daughter Julia Mansolino, Plainfield; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements.

Edythe Hills Polzin, Great-Grandmother of 6

JACKSON — Edythe Hills Polzin, 83, a homemaker, died Thursday (May 22, 1997) at Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home in Green Brook.

She was born in Chicago and had lived in California before moving to Jackson 12 years ago.

Surviving are a son, Steven Polzin of Lake Oswego, Ore.; a daughter, Julia Mansolino of Plainfield; a brother, Robert Hills of North Carolina; a sister, Harriett Schlager of Ontario, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. June 2 at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Arrangements are by Higgins Home for Funerals, Plainfield.
