Dell Frederick Hinson

Funeral services for Dell Frederick Hinson, 71, 743 Ninth St., Lake Oswego, who died Monday in Toledo, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home in Albany.

Father John S. Power, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Hinson was born Jan. 2, 1897, at Jasper, Ore., and lived in Springfield. He moved to Portland in 1922 and to Lake Oswego in 1924. He was graduated from the University of Oregon in 1922 in the school of architecture and headed the architectural firm of Whitney, Hinson and Jacobsen, Portland, until his retirement in 1962.

He married Mina L. Arnold Hinson June 29, 1921 in Shedd.

He served in the U. S. Army during World War I, and was a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Surviving is his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn I. Ireland of Los Altos, Calif., and two grandchildren. A daughter, June Annette, preceded him in death.

Friends who wish may contribute in his memory to the Oregon Heart Association.

Mina L. Hinson

Mina L. Hinson, a Milwaukie resident, died of causes related to age Thursday in a Milwaukie retirement home. She was 92.

At her request, no service is planned. Disposition will be by cremation.

Mrs. Hinson was born July 14, 1899, in Shedd. Her maiden name was Arnold. She married Dell F. Hinson on June 29, 1921. The couple moved to Portland in 1922 and to Lake Oswego in 1924. Her husband died in 1968. She moved to Milwaukie in 1972.

She is survived by daughter, Carolyn Ireland of Cupertino, Calif.; sister, Viola A. Kern of Milwaukie; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to Rose Villa Fellowship Foundation, 13505 River Road, Milwaukie, Ore. 97222.
