Esther S. Hoke, 95, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at 5:45 p.m. at York Hospital.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. A viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Laverne DiNino.
Miss Hoke was born March 1, 1911, in Springettsbury Twp. She was the daughter of the late Pharas P. and Elsie R. (Boyer) Hoke.
She retired from Dentsply International, where she was a molder for 50 years.
Miss Hoke was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ; YWCA and Phi Sigma Club of YWCA; Girl's Club at Dentsply; 25 Year Club at Dentsply; and AARP.
She is survived by three nieces, Geraldine R. Flohr, Patricia Heeg, and Mary Joyce Fennington; one nephew, Joseph L. Hoke; and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
