HOKE—EALY

Miss Evelyn N. Ealy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ealy, East street, Spring Grove, and Milton S. Hoke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman A. Hoke, near Spring Grove, were united in marriage at a candlelight ceremony in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Spring Grove at 7:30 o'clock on Saturday evening. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Ralph C. Robinson, in the presence of the immediate families. THe church was decorated with white snapdragons and white carnations. Preceding the ceremony an organ recital was given by Miss Beulah Eyster, West York, a relative of the bridegroom. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an afternoon dress of dusty rose with a matching quarter-length veil and carried a bouquet of white rosebuds. Her only jewelry was a blue sapphire necklace, a gift of the bridegroom. She had as her matron of honor her sister, Mrs. Marlin Reed, Bendersville, who wore a melon suit with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of talisman roses. James L. Ealy, brother of the bride, was best man. THe bride attended the Spring Grove High school and is now enrolled at the Wayne School of Nursing, Chicago. The bridegroom, a graduate of the York Collegiate Institute, is a farmer and poultry breeder.

Milton S. Hoke

Milton S. Hoke, 58, husband of Mrs. Esther Klinefelter Warner Hoke, Spring Grove R. 3, died Monday at 9:05 a.m. at York Hospital following a four-week illness.

A farmer, he was a son of the late Herman and Mazie (Stambaugh) Hoke, North Codorus Twp. He was a member of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Jackson Twp.; Hanover Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose, and Hanover Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving also are a son, Milton Hoke, Pottstown; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Sharp, York; a granddaughter; four stepsons, James Poole, Hanover R. 1; Jack Warner, Des Moines, Iowa; Charles Warner, Hanover; Jerry Warnter, Spring Grove R. 3; a step-daughter, Mrs. James Rickell, Littlestown, and 13 step-grandchildren.

Rev. Joseph Steinert, Mr. Hoke's pastor, will officiate at funeral services Thrusday at 2 p.m. at Sauter Funeral Home, Spring Grove. Interment will be in St. Peter's (Lischey's) Union Cemetery.

Esther A. Hoke

PORTERS SIDELING — Esther A. Klinefelter Pool Warner Hoke, 76, formerly of Porters Sideling, died 7:15 p.m. Monday, May 17, 1993, at the Brethren Home, Cross Keys, where she resided the last 12 years.

Born in Butler, Md., she was the daughter of the late Luther W. C. and Cora Jane Alexander Klinefelter. She was the wife of the late Milton S. Hoke, the late Amidee L. Warner and the late Raymond Pool.

She retired from Black & Decker, Hampstead, Md., in 1973 and she was also employed by Revonah Spinning Mills in Hanover for many years.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover.

Surviving are a daughter, Delores Rickell of Torrence, Calif.; four son, James Pool of Hanover, Jack Warner of Ottumwa, Iowa, Charles Warner of New Oxford and Jerry Warner of Spring Grove; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel M. Miller of Reisterstown, Md., and Elsie G. Forsyth of Baltimore, Md.; and three brothers, Clifton E. Klinefelter of Lebanon, Pa., Clarence L. Klinefelter of Bel Air, Md., and William Klinefelter of Reisterstown, Md.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. THe Rev. John P. Layman, chaplain of The Brethren Home, Cross Keys, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peters (Lischey's) Cemetery, Spring Grove RD 5. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
