Miss Nannie Irvine Died Late Yesterday

Funeral Services Will Be Sunday at the Residence, 222 N. Jefferson Ave.

Miss Nannie Irvine died at 6 p. m. yesterday at her home, 222 North Jefferson, death ending for her months of suffering of an illness from which she had realized she could not recover.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday at the residence, conducted by the Rev. W. L. Perryman, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial will be at Ridge Park Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home to the residence early tomorrow morning.

Nannie Blackburn Irvine, daughter of William A., and Helen Spencer Brown Irvine, was born in July, 1868, at Miami, coming to Marshall for residence when a girl. Surviving are her aged mother, two brothers, Ollie Irvine of the home, and George A. Irvine of Danville, Ky., who is here.

Perhaps few have lived as unselfishly as had Miss Irvine. Truly it can be said of her she lived for others. To her aged mother and her brother in the home, who had been deprived of his sight for years, she has given untiring, loyal and loving service and devotion. When she realized the seriousness of her condition, it was not for self she gave consideration but prayed that she might be spared until the passing of these so dear to her and who depended so much on her. Not withstanding the fact that the nature of her illness caused great suffering, she continued about her daily tasks until about a month ago.

She was a member of the Methodist church, living daily the Christianity she professed. The Irvine family is one of Saline's pioneer families and Miss Irvine took a justified pride in her family history and traditions.
