Mr. and Mrs. Claude A. Kinyon, 919 College avenue, today are mailing announcements of the marriage of their daughter, Miss Luella Kinyon, and Stuart Truba Lindenberger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin F. Lindenberger, 505 Alvarado street. The marriage, which took place at Las Vegas, Nev., June 8, 1940, has been known only to intimate friends of the two families.
Mr. and Mrs. Lindenberger have been residing with his parents since their marriage. After October 1 they will be at home in Parkwood manor.
Parents of the couple and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hamilton, East Highlands, and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Boyd, Long Beach, accompanied them to Las Vegas for the wedding over over a year ago, with Rev. Ford Gilbert, pastor of the Methodist church reading the vows. The newlyweds returned to Redlands after a visit to Boulder dam, and in the following September enjoyed a two weeks' motor trip through the miiddle western states.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lindenberger have resided in Redlands since chidhood, and were members of the 1932 graduating class of Redlands High School. Mrs. Lindenberger attended San Bernardino Junior college, and since 1935 has been receptionist and secretary in the County Welfare department in Redlands.
mr. Lindenberger graduated from the Univeristy of Redlands in 1936, and was president of Chi Sigma Chi fraternity. SInce January, 1939, he has been deputy county treasurer under Treasurer M. W. H. Williams. He is secretarty of the 20-30 club, and a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge.

Smiley school's P.T.A. unit presented an honorary life membership to the Council president, Mrs. Stuart Lindenberger, at its meeting this week which also honored past presidents of the unit.
Mrs. Lindenberger was president of Smiley P.T.A. for the 1856-1957 term. She is also a past president of McKinley P.T.A. and has been active in many phases of P.T.A. work for several years. Her interests have also included the Scouting program and she has been a Cub Scout Den mother.
Mrs. Lindenberger, a native of Yakima, Wash. came to Redlands as a child and attended local schools, graduating in 1932 from Redlands High school. Her husband is employed by Lance & Runkel, Chevrolet dealers. They have two children, Stuart and Sheldon.
Under direction of Mrs. Jack Wiley, Founder's Day chairman, a program in the format of "This is Your Life" was presented. Present to take part in the skit reviewing Mrs. Lindenberger's life were her husband, sons, her father, Claude Kinyon, two sisters, Mrs. George Von Tungeln and Shirley Bacon Jr., Principal Floyd Allen, Mmes. John Ferrall, Chester Bare and Don Rothenberger.
Special guests introduced during the meeting were Mrs. E. L. Harris, Fifth District president; Mrs. Ray J. Guest, vice president of Redlands Council, and Mrs. Francis Turney, honorary life membership chairman for Council.
Introduced and honored as past presidents of Smiley unit were Mmes. J. E. Holmes, Robert Crum, Allan Brewer, Lindenberger and John J. Allen.
Appointed to serve on Smiley's nominating committee were Mmes. Harry Woltman, Norman Martinez, James Young, Don Battersby and Thomas Sanborn.
Room mothers of grade three were social hour hostesses.

Lindenberger, a native of Washington, lived in Redlands 79 years.
She retired as a registrar of Yucaipa High School after 21 years. She worked as a cashier at the Redlands Fox Theatre for five years. She worked as a secretary at the San Bernardino County welfare division's Redlands Office. She served as Parent Teachers Association president at McKinley Elementary School, Cope Junior High School, Redlands High School and District Parent Teachers Association. She was awarded the honor of life membership and was active in Cub Scouts.
She was a member of the Contemporary Club for 15 years, and a member of the Redlands and the Palm Springs Round Table. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society. She served as president of the Form Club of Redlands and was listed in "who's Who of American Women."
Survivors include her husband, Stuart T.; two sons, Stuart K. of Redlands and James Sheldon of Huntington Beach; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cortner Chapel, 221 Brookside Ave., Redlands.
